White Wednesday & Giveaway

I enjoy White Wednesday, it gives me that gentle little nudge to create a post.

We've had some pretty crazy weather here in Portland.

Today the sun came out, big as you please.

I thought, "Wow, it's going to be a beautiful sunny day!"

But soon the clouds came over and it poured!

It's been doing that all day.

Sunny one minute, raining the next.

I have to say though we've got beautiful green grass and trees, and you know that it's because of all that rain!


I love these old heavy duty flour sacks!

I don't find them that often but when I do I grab them.


As many of you know I'm in the process of re-doing my bedroom.

I remembered this old door I had and thought it would be perfect with what I'm doing.


While out thrift store shopping I came across these great flash cards.

The game is called "Uno".

Apparently a different "Uno".

The cards came in three different colors but because it's White Wednesday I'm showing you the white ones.

Quite awhile back I went to a Gift and Accessories Show.

While I was there I purchased many pretty new watches.

I thought being White Wednesday it would be fun to have a Giveaway.

I thought a white watch would be perfect!

And why not the one with a little bling!

I mean what girl doesn't like a little sparkle!

So, whether you keep it for yourself or give it to a friend, I hope you will enjoy this Giveaway!

    Oh my gosh, I love those flashcards, they remind me of how I learned to read in England. Along with the Dick and Jane books, not sure if they had them here.

    Love the grain sacks! Wish we had more rain. It has been hot -sweltering - and finally we got a beautiful storm last night!!! I mean early in the morning you'd walk outside feeling like you were wearing a heavy coat!

    I LOVE your White Wednesday items! The flour sack is GORGOUES and I LOVE love love that screen door with the 7. As wonderful as your give away is, please do not enter me. I would much rather someone else have the chance. I HAVE the magazine and for some weirdo reason, as much as I want to, I CAN NOT wear a watch without killing it. Weird I know. It dies in a matter of days and the jeweler can never figure out what is wrong. I guess I'm just an odd one! LOL

    Debbie I love that flour sack! I don't see them often here either. I was so bummed because at the Farm Chicks show they were everywhere and I didn't buy any. I love the peek of the door.

    Oh my.... I live in Western Washington... Ditto on the RAIN... It's the All-City garage sale here today and it's POURING. Good gravy. If my posies don't get some sunshine pretty soon they're not going to make it.
