One More Project...check

Before the day gets away from me, I thought I'd share with you a project, one of many, that I finished up for the show at Monticello.

While out hunting for treasure I found an old mirror.

I thought it looked like it had potencial so I bought it and took it home with me.

Try and ignore the mess around the mirror.

Right now this is my world, projects and inventory everywhere.

Only 6 more days and I get to load it up and start my set up.

Anyway, back to the mirror, it was "chunky" and big, love it...

I decided to prime it first as I wasn't quite sure if it would take the paint or not, then I painted it.

It was pretty white and I wanted to tone it down a bit so I got out my dark wax and started waxing.

I really like how it looks now.

The sanding and waxing brought out more of the details in the mirror.

That's one more project off my list.

If you're in th area Monticello's Fall Show will open on September 7th.

It's going to be a good one!

Im joining up with Kathleen for White Wednesday.
