A Rose is a Rose...not so!

Let me just say, time did not stand still today.

What happened to Thursday?

While I was running around today I stopped at New Seasons Market .

A few weeks back I had found a rose that was unbelievable!

I should have bought it at the time but instead I took a picture of it with my phone.

I kicked myself later, as my picture didn't turn out as nicely as I would have liked.

I went back to the store a few days later only to find the roses were not looking as chipper as they did when I first saw them.

Fortunately, when I went by New Seasons today, they had the same rose looking a little perkier.

So I bought it.

I say "it" because at $4.00 a rose I can't buy too many.

Isn't it the most amazing rose?

I'm sorry I can't tell you the name of it.

The first time I asked the clerk she said it was a Juliette Rose.

But when I went back the gal said that it wasn't a Juliette and she wasn't sure what it was called.

Sorry, to all of you that wanted to run out and buy this rose bush...I was the same way.

If anyone out there knows what it is I'd love to hear from you.

Vintage White Frame

It's White Wednesday!

I thought I'd share with you a sweet photo I found about a year ago.

The first thing that caught my eye was the oval chippy frame.

I mean who wouldn't love that.

And the photo ... precious!

And just because they were close by here are a pair of vintage leather doll shoes.

Yes, I'm going to say it, "So sweet!".

Little scalloped edges along the top.

Had to buy it!

I hear it will be a beautiful summer day tomorrow.

In the 80's, I can't wait...I love sunny days.

I'm linking up with Kathleen for White Wednesday this week.

Market

To market ... to market...

This morning I headed to the market to see what came in...for me it was radishes.

Huge radishes...the size of plums.

Two bunches for $1.00.

Next, sweet little flowers.

White Bacopa

and Pink Superbells

About a month ago I found two little galvanized containers with hooks on them.

I thought they'd be perfect hanging from the fence off the deck.

Hopefully I can keep them alive and they'll wander down the fence.

Peonies

I sure enjoy Peonies.

I've bought quite a few plants this Spring.

I only wish they would bloom all summer long.

The sun has been shining today, it's been a beautiful day.

Hope you're having a great evening.

27

(It's pretty hard holding the phone, snapping a photo and kissing the hubby at the same time but I did it!)

Today my #1 and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary!

Wow, 27 years, it sure doesn't seem that long.

What a wonderful man I married.

I am truly blessed.

We didn't have big plans for today but having him home, as he took the day off, is always a fun treat.

We ended up going out to breakfast and then headed out to Bridgeport Village, which is about 11 miles from where we live.

Being that it was an area we hadn't explored yet it felt like being on vacation.

I wanted to check out Anthropologie.

Believe it or not I've never been in one of their stores.

Loved it!

I wish I could have taken pictures of everything in the store.

I wasn't as interested in the clothing but the pieces of old European furniture, baskets etc...were wonderful.

At wonderfully amazing prices too I might add!

I snapped a picture of one of their window displays.

It was bright and cheery!

It's almost the weekend...I hope you have a great one.
