The Circus Animals Followed Me Home!

Ok, so do you have a favorite "store bought" cookie?

I'm afraid I have a few.

I was reminded of one of them last night while grocery shopping.

I just happened upon blue and white animal cookies!!!

I think I should have eaten first as I didn't have to think twice about grabbing them off the shelf.

Animal Cookies!

Not just plain animal cookies but covered with icing.

Blue and white, I had never tried that color yet!

After getting home and my cookies exposed to the rest of the family.

I had to return to the store the next day to purchase more.

Apparently I am not the only one that likes these little animals.

Mind you, only about a third of a bag is cookies, most of it is air.

(No animals were harmed during this photo shoot.)

But afterwards ........sorry I couldn't resist!

On another note my sweet friend Sue is having a wonderful giveaway.

So be sure to jump over to her blog and enter, that's after you tell me your favorite cookie.

Who knows maybe there's another cookie I'll need to test out!

An Unexpected Surprise!

Well, I got an unexpected surprise Saturday evening.

It is actually unfortunate but I was pretty stoked!

Last Saturday we had an outbreak of the flu at our church.

Not the swine flu just an icky flu.

My poor mother was one of many people who got it.

By Monday when I arrived at school, as the church and the school are in the same building, there were 28 people that they knew of that had it.

Well, it didn't stop with just the church people all of a sudden the school kids were getting it.

So Saturday evening I was told that the school was closing down for a week until they felt like everything was safe.

One week off with pay!

Wow, I don't think that has ever happened in the history of the school.

All that to say, today instead of going to school I went thrifting.

I didn't pick up a lot but here are a few things.

I picked up this sweet little basket at my first stop.

Next, I found a large bag of glass door knobs, old and new.

Along with the door knobs came these spare parts.

I don't know what I'll do with them but you know how it is!

String, I don't know what it is about it but I like it!

Along with this string came a bunch of new packages of jute.

I found this old lamp minus the lamp shade and a few crystals.

I seem to end up with a lot of lamp shades so I'm always glad to find lamps to go with them.

Maybe this one!

Here are 5 of 13 old music books I found.

I thought these were pretty cool!

Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I've been up to!

To Many Scarves?

So can a girl have to many scarves?

I actually think she can!

One thing I have enjoyed lately is crocheting in the evenings.

It can be so relaxing.

I've stopped at five scarves but I have more yarn looking at me waiting to be turned into something besides a round ball.

Fortunately, there are many wonderful organizations out there that will take these scarves and distribute them to people in need.

So, I feel like I can justify buying the yard and crocheting away.

On another note, I haven't done so hot with sales lately.

I did hit one last Saturday, but I didn't end up getting much.

I need to hit that "jackpot" sale as the Garden Show at Monticello
is coming up and I want to fill my space with wonderful garden items.

Here are a few things I found though, and I do mean a few!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

A Few Things That Make Me Smile!

Today, the sun was shining so bright through my living room window.

I thought I better take advantage of it and snap a few pictures to share with you.

So, here are a few things that make me smile when I see them.

Nothing fancy, just pretty.

The above picture is a sweet little jar filled with nesting materials and few (real) speckled eggs.

I spotted this pretty little jar at Monticello.

The talented girls Diana or Donna, I'm not sure which one, put this together.

Isn't it wonderful?

Here is a pretty wedding topper I found.

I love the different material it has been made with.

Here are a couple of lavender strawberries I made, which have a little story behind them.

They make me grin!

And last, one of my favorite pin cushions.

It's very well used and I love everything about it!

That's it for now!

Thank you for stopping by and seeing a few of the things I enjoy!

Mirror Mirror On The Wall ...or the floor.

Mirrors are one of those hard things to take a picture of, at least for me.

I don't want to get a picture of myself in it.

And whatever the mirror reflects should be pretty too!

So, that means the house has to be clean or at least the things showing up in the mirror.

Here is a fabulous mirror I fell in love with at Monticello.

Only problem is, I just don't have $895.00 to put out for it.

Ok, am I right?

FABULOUS!

I noticed my #1 didn't say, "Oh honey, you are so worth it!"

Although I'm sure that's what he meant to say!

So, if you're looking for something pretty to hang on your wall, you might just check it out!

We have a winner!
