Not Just For Christmas!

(vintage white shelf paper)

Welcome White Wednesday!

Today, for my White Wednesday post I thought I'd show you my pretty mercury glass picks.

I know they're not white but they are surrounded by white.

I love the old silver picks and decided they're just too pretty to store away for Christmas.

So, I decided to get them out and add them to my vintage millinery flowers.

And you know what?

I don't think they look like Christmas decorations at all!

I love the sparkle they give a display.

So, watch out!

Now I'm on the search for more silver mercury picks!

Gotta love them!

Thank you Kathleen of Faded Charm for hosting another wonderful White Wednesday!

Oh Debbie,
They look just beautiful tucked in the ironstone with the flowers! I love mercury glass all year long and keep my collection out all year. Your post is just beautiful!
Have a great day.
Sincerely,
Melinda

What a coincidence, yesterday I was thinking about putting my collection of glass picks in a white ironstone pitcher to fill in on a shelf. I think they are too fun to keep hidden away and use only a few weeks out of the year. Beautiful idea!

Hi debbie,

You and I were on the same wavelength this week - I love to use picks and millinery flowers, too! I enjoyed your pictures - lovely!

You're right. They aren't just for Christmas anymore. Funny how seasonal things grouped with the right object changes everything. Also, loving your old laundry cart. I don't know if I could part with that one.

Enjoy your week and wishing for more sunshine. It felt so good last weekend.

Beautiful pictures! And I agree, they don't look like Christmas decorations at all, though they would look just as pretty with Christmas decorations.

You are right, silver and white is a classic combination and not Christmassy at all! Unless, of course, it's Christmas time! Lovely photos.

Sweet shelf paper, sad that no one really uses old vintage in style papers these days, not like our grandmaothers did and without thinking every shelf had to have paper :)

Love all your treasures on you site! Will be back soon.
