And since one of my boys had already put an order in for chocolate cake, why not make a batch of muffins too.
If you're in the mood for blueberry muffins here's a recipe you might like.
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
2-1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cups blueberries
Bake @ 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
So while I watch and wait in anticipation for the snow tonight I'll enjoy a warm blueberry muffin and a cup of hot coffee.
A big "thank you" to everyone that stopped by and left me a sweet comment on my dining room.
Your comments gave me a big smile!

Baking day here too...made applesauce cake, and the house smelled heavenly. Still waiting for the snow...will they be right or wrong on this one?
Yummy!

Sounds wonderful, we have a light dusting up here in our elevation, um wandering what tomorrow morning will bring. Enjoy! Florence
We are getting snow right now, so I will be baking tomorrow for sure.~Cheers Kim

Hi Debbie!
Oh muffins, and chocolate cake sounds delightful on a cold wintry day! We are due for rain on Friday, but so far we have been eluding any more snowstorms for now! Love how your dining room cake out. Love the white handled basket with the hydrangeas in it. I have one in my garage. Now you have inspired me to go and find it.
Debbie
