I've collected a few old canvas army and navy bags.
I thought they would make great totes when cut down.
I used an old navy bag for this project.
I decided to get out that pair of scissors and make the first cut.
Why is it always so hard to make that cut?
I ended up combining it with black and white stripe ticking.
I love how it turned out.
I was able to keep the old grommets on the bag as well.
This bag had a patch on it and since it added such personality to the bag I used it on the inside pocket.
See the "OREGON" on it.....love it!
I'm joining up with Kathleen of Faded Charm for White Wednesday!Thank you for stopping by!

Oh yes, it is always hard to commit with that first cut but rest assured, it turned out wonderful. Love that "lacky" pocket!
love your bag! oxox
Love it Debbie!
Hi Debbie!
I am finally having time to go visiting with all of my bloggy-friends...your space at Monticello looked fabulous for Christmas!! One of the years, I am gonna have to brave the mountain and get over there! I LOVE the bakery sign...did you make it? Or is it vintage?
I enjoyed seeing your home Christmas decorations, too...I so understand about not having a lot of energy for home decor after doing it for the shop AND about the deadline of people coming to get it into high-gear..that is SO true at my house!
I do hope your Christmas celebration was filled with joy...
Blessings to you this new year, my friend!
