Pretty & Heavy

While out shopping last week I came upon these old, beautiful, wonderfully chippy old radiators.

What do you do with an old radiator?

There has got to be a special project.

Fortunately, I don't know of one because I'm quite confident these are pretty darn heavy and there is no way my #1 would haul them.

But they sure are pretty to look at.

I don't know what I would do but they are so cool! Hmmm maybe add it to my garden as a cool decorative piece? Or add a glass top and use it as a table.Get two and use one on each end add glass for a larger table.Hey I just thought of a few ideas :-)

Actually we installed 4 of these sand-blasted, enamel-coated beauties in our old house. The 4 hour trip to Chicago was well worth it since they hold the heat better than the baseboard hot water. Husband and son lifted them through the dining room window by a skidsteer. Very heavy.

I love these--I think they would be cute just sitting out!

Simply beautiful. I have radiators in hour 87 year old home and they still work great. Although not as ornate as your pieces. I am sure you will do something very special with them. I like the table idea. Or just as a piece or art for all to admire.

I've been looking for some to make a table and some end tables with glass or a vintage door.
