White Wednesday!

I wanted to show you a chandelier I picked up last week.

It needed to be re-wired and fixed up a little.

I originally was going to sell it at the shop but...I fell in love with it.

I believe it's an Italian chandelier.

I really want to put it in my dining room but my dear sweet husband is digging his feet in.

What am I going to do with that man?

He doesn't want to put it up as I have a perfectly good "new" light fixture in the dining room.

So...I'm waiting it out until he decides to see things my way.... the right way!

I decided to use it in the living room.

So it hangs from a bird cage stand lit up at night.

I'm enjoying it immensely, not as much as if it were hanging in my dining room, but it's still good!

I'm wanting to paint my kitchen and dining room.

I've been collecting some paint swatches.

Martha Stewart has a great color selection.

Aren't they wonderful colors!

I'm leaning towards the "talc".

I am so ready to get rid of the color in there now.

Come to think about it I was ready to get rid of it after I painted it.

It just wasn't the color I had visualized in my mind.

I'm ready for a neutral palette.

When I finally decide what I want I will show you the "before and after" pictures.

Happy White Wednesday!

Hi Debbie,
I really like your shabby chandelier and I don't blame you for keeping it. It's so hard to let go of some things and this would be one of them!

Oh, don't ya just wish you knew how to put it up yourself. I feel that way when asking for a lot of things to be done around the house, LOL
Your color choices look so nice and serene. that is definitely on the new years list, finish painting kitchen.
Good luck with all your home improvements in the new year.

Love your chandy Debbie...I would have kept it too.
I've just finished redoing a Dining room from a former bedroom and love it.
The Chandy is on backorder...ugh!
Waiting paitently for that then will post.
Cute idea to hand it on a cage stand!

This looks like a keeper to me. I had one up at Monticello's that needed to be rewired, but was glad that it didn't sell because I just thought of the perfect spot for it. Now I need to get it rewired.

Good luck with the painting....not my favorite job.

I am getting ready to paint several rooms in my house and I love some of those samples you showed! BUT! I am a lazy painter! I like to paint everything the same color, ceilings, walls, and trim so I can get done faster! lol! Have a great week!

Love your shabby chandelier, maybe in time your husband will agree with you to hang it in the dining area, in the meantime enjoy it where it is. Florence
