Fall Show At Monticello

The Fall Show at Monticello Antique Marketplace is in full swing.

The Fall Show Is Coming!

My Big Old Box

I hadn't planned on stopping at the Thrift store yesterday but I was so glad I did.

I ended up coming home with this wonderful old box.

It has worn leather all around the edges.

Old labels....

leather handles on each side...

and someone's initials stamped on the top.

The inside of the box reads, Portmanteau Hat & Suit Case Manufacturers Repairs.

I love it!

I think it's a keeper!

The weather is beautiful here in the Pacific Northwest.

I couldn't resist bringing in a touch of Spring.

The Christmas Angel

Within the past couple of weeks I've gathered up Vintage Italian Nativity pieces from local Thrift stores in the area.

Being there have been issues with each set I decided to take the good pieces and divide them up in groups and sell them.

Hopefully someone missing a particular piece in there collection may find what they need in these groupings.

There was one piece I couldn't part with,the angel, the colors were so nice.

The angel has to stay with me.

It may have to stay out all year.

A Little Unusual

On Friday I hit an estate sale that sounded pretty good.

I didn't know what I'd find but it looked like there was a lot of stuff.

I headed first to the outbuildings.

The first thing I spotted was a wood box of face molds.

Clearly they had not been taken care of as dust and dirt had collected on them.

I had never seen anything like it before.

Each one of them were different and had the individuals name on them.

So, I brought them home, cleaned them up and packaged them.

Since Halloween is right around the corner I took them to the shop to sell.

A little unusual but it's fun to pick up "unusual" sometimes.

As wishy washy as it sounds, I've decided to keep this blog open.

It's just so much easier to have one blog that's already established.

Patina is still the business name though.

Well the show is in full swing, we've had so many wonderful pieces leave our area but we continue to bring in new pieces to fill it up for you.

Patina

Well, I've been going back and forth with a name change.

I really wanted to change the name of my business.

I wanted a one word name....I don't know why, I just like it I guess.

My Shabby Roses was so 90's and I wanted something that, as my friend said, would be timeless.

So, I've decided to name it "Patina".

This will be a slow process changing over.

I'm having major problems trying to change my Facebook name so it will stay the same until I can figure things out.

A Little Baby Love n Other Things

I snapped a few pictures today.

It was a great day for snapping a few shots, the weather has been beautiful here in the Pacific Northwest.

Pops Of Color

Do you ever need just a pop of color?

When I was thinking about buying furniture I thought I could go either way, brown or white, it really didn't matter, I liked both.

Well, I went brown,that was a couple of years ago.

The furniture is super comfortable but I'm ready for light colors now.

But until that time comes around again I'll just add pops of color.
