It's A Slumber Party! No Boys Allowed!

Oh Boy!

A Slumber Party!

Ok, I have a confession to make. I was never one for slumber parties. I'm afraid it's true! But, this party sounded like a lot of fun!!!

Enough confessions, Come on in and let me show you a few things that have to do with slumbering.

I thought I'd start off by showing you a few pictures of my bedroom.

I'm afraid this is a room that I still need to tackle!

You would laugh if you saw the entire room.

On my #1's side of the room is all his fishing and hunting items and on the other side are my things. I haven't yet figured out how to combine the two. I'm still looking for that great old cabinet to hide , whoops I mean, display, that's the word, his fishing items in.

Here is a little closer look at a few more things.

Here are a few pretty vintage night gowns that I've bought.

A sweet pink bed jacket!

Are you getting hungry!

Well, you gals choose a movie and I'll get the food! I have chocolate cake, chips candy! All the wonderfully bad things!

I could put together a few veggies though, if that's what you're after.

I've got a bunch of movies to choose from but here are some of my favorites!

I do love to watch movies and look at books and magazines! It's always fun to sit around and share ideas!

Are you getting cold, well I've got plenty of old quilts to keep you warm!

Ok, now that we're all warmed up, let's go "T.P."!!!

Last one out gets the back seat!

Thank you Phyllis for hosting this fun Slumber Party!

Wii Fit? We Ain't Fit!

Well, I didn't do a lot this week-end. Friday night my family and I went out to dinner. After that we headed to Target and bought the Wii Fit, oh....am I sore! A little to much jogging and no warming up made Debbie a sore girl! The next morning it hurt so bad to walk, pretty sad, I know! Boy, this is going to be good for me, if I can make it through the first week!

Here are a few pictures of some of the items I picked up this week-end.

This is a huge panel of antique lace curtains, they are just beautiful. I probably paid too much for them but they sure are pretty!

A lot of paper items as well as old wooden spools of wire (which is not shown).

This is a wonderful old piece that we picked up last week-end. My #1 had to do a little work on it but now it's ready to go to the shop!

Be sure to stop by Tuesday for a Slumber Party, hosted by Phyllis from For The Love of Vintage!

Painted! Chippy! And Worn!

It's funny how old, chippy hardware or furniture captures many of our attention. I know that I just love the look.

It is something that can not be reproduced very easily. Paint just doesn't chip off or look as nice on a piece of freshly painted furniture.

There is something to be said for age, bumps and scrapes!

Even though I have a love for old painted furniture I also appreciate the fine old pieces (natural wood) as well.

I don't have many of those pieces in my home but I have sold a few and I appreciate the time and energy it took to create each piece.

I don't think my sweet mother totally understands my love affair with it. But, she enjoys my decorating and can see the warmth in it.

So, this post is a salute to old and chippy pieces!

Enjoy!

You Win Some, You Lose Some!

Well, my #1 and I got a little estate shopping in this week-end. I didn't think we would find much of anything as there wasn't a lot of sales going on. But, we did manage to find a few things. Here are a few of the finds.

I also purchased a fun suitcase, which you can't see too well in this photo. The bummer is that a little matching suitcase, which I also wanted was on a table across the way.

There were a "buzillion" people there and I had a large picture frame and small ladder in one hand and a suitcase in the other and I couldn't figure out how to get down the next isle without taking someone out!

So it slipped through my fingers into the hands of someone else. The two matching suitcases, which have been together for years, had to split up!

C'est la vie!

On to the next sale!

Here is a sweet old photo album I was able to purchase. It is in exellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to someone's collection.

Isn't this little guy sweet!

This was another find!

He has pretty glass eyes and opens his bill to hold papers, to sweet!

If you haven't done so, be sure to enter your name in my Giveaway!
