Shopping Laurelhurst!

This morning I woke up to a phone call from a friend asking if I was going to be going to the Laurelhurst Garage Sales.

Over 100 homes participate in this sale each year and it's a lot of fun.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do.

There weren't a whole lot of estate sales and the ones I had looked at didn't seem that promising, so why not!

I'd hit Garage Sales instead.

I went into the bedroom, where #1 was sleeping, and shook the bed real hard gently woke him up and we headed out for the day.

First stop, the cash machine, next Starbucks, gotta have that coffee!

When we started out things didn't look too promising.

There seemed to be baby items everywhere!

If I had a little one, that's where I'd be shopping!

The homes are just beautiful in this area so it was nice to look at them as well as shop.

Then we hit the sale I had been looking for.

My first purchases of the day!

Here is my #1 hauling the big stuff.

Of course, we had parked our car quite a few blocks away.

This is an old metal hat rack, which will be great for selling vintage hats.

While hauling this I spotted an old dress form at my next stop.

Yes, I bought it, it was a great deal!

Here are a couple of little things I bought as well.

This was my last purchase of the day.

An old wood lawn chair.

It is so fun!

I am going to replace the old green fabric with black and white ticking.

The bottom section comes off so it can be used without the foot rest.

How cool is that!

Then if folds up, as flat as can be!

So, overall a pretty good shopping day!

And a great time with my #1!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I didn't have a chance to go to yard sales this weekend. Hopefully next weekend.

You scored at that last sale! Wow, you just don't find old dress forms that easily anymore. LOVE the hat stand, too.

Cute neighborhood!!! Looks like you both had a wonderful day!
