Estate Shopping, Oh How I've Missed You!

I was able to hit an estate sale after work today.

BOY, did it feel good!

It's only been a couple of weeks but it feels like forever!

I love walking through the door of an older home...looking into boxes...scoping out the kitchen...running my fingers through the linens....checking out the garage and basement!

But along with estate shopping comes filling up that gas tank!

Ouch!

I paid $3.15 a gallon, that hurts!

I know I'm not the only one out there that is cringing when they look at their gas receipt.

Where do you live?

What are you paying for gas?

I know that $3.15 probably sounds pretty cheap to many of you.

On a happier note.

The weather has been beautiful here!

The sun has been shining and it makes me so ready for Spring!

I cleaned out my front flower bed and those little plants are starting to peek out from the soil.

I love Spring!

I'm in Maine and paying $3.19/gallon. Hopefully it won't go much higher.

I've been cutting back on my driving. I drive a SUV and we have to run mid-grade gas in it and it's $3.45 gallon over here in the Vancouver area. Ouch! Looks like we'll have some more sun this coming week. I can't wait....I'm more productive when the sun is shining!

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Hi Debbie,
I would love to go to an estate sale but there hasn't been many around here lately. I love auctions too.

I paid 3.17 a gallon and boy does that hurt!

I would love to go to an estate sale, garage sale or even a flea market, but there just isn't anything right now. I live in Idaho and get my gas at a Maverick station. I pay $2.82 a gallon because I have one of their rewards cards and you get a 5 cent discount. It's not much, but I will take what I can get and I use any and all rewards cards whenever I can :)

Yes! I'm so ready for an Estate Sale Weekend!
and I paid $3.25 the last time I filled up ....but I do run the Hi-Grade...always have...my car is 7 years old with 158K miles and runs like a dream! Still I don't like paying $50 plus to fill up my tank!
Have a great weekend!
Tammy :-)

I always enjoy my couple of month break from estate sales. Since I have to travel nearly an hour to get to any true estate sales, I don't go for just one or two. There will gradually begin to be more next month until one day there are 5 or 6 plus yard sales. But those couple of months break, I sleep late on weekends and save on gas. Haven't bought gas in so long, I don't even know how much it is right now.

Aaah yes! I, too stopped at a Portland estate sale on my way home from work tonight. No big scores but oh so nice to get out on these beautiful days we have been having this week. Plus still made it home before dark - a sure sign the "mole" month is over and Spring is on the way.

Love the treasures you found at the estate sale, Debbie! That little number 2 tag is sweet, too.
Gas prices are horrible here, too... about $3.30/gal!
Enjoy your sunshine... lucky girl!
Hugs,
Jo :)

Hi Debbie,
Gorgeous photos!!
I live in So Cal and we're paying $3.45 - $3.55. It fluctuates every 5 seconds! ;)
Its been really beautiful here lately, but today its cloudy with a chance of rain. Oh well, the rain washes everything clean, especially the smog!
Have a lovely Sunday.
Sincerely,
Melinda
