A Good Read!

I splurged this week-end!

I don't normally buy books from Borders, it's usually a magazine.

I would rather go to Amazon and buy one as it is so much cheaper.

But there is something nice about not having to wait for a book to arrive in the mail.

I wanted to buy some reading material and head over to Starbucks and enjoy a cup of coffee as well as a good book!

I ended up buying the book but never making it to Starbucks.

I think after buying the book I decided I'd save money and make the coffee at home!

Here is the book I ended up with.

French Country Style At Home

I enjoyed all the beautiful eye candy the pages had to offer.

Do you take advantage of your local library?

I sure do.

While I'm out blog hopping I make note of all the books I see on other blogs.

I then pull up the library's website and start placing a hold on the books.

It's a great way to check out a book and see if it's something you want to add to your personal library.

Here is a book I just recently checked out.

I love it!

I think it will be one I buy from Amazon.

* * *

By the way, I did check Amazon and yes, much cheaper!

I'm with you - I keep a running list of books I've heard about from blogs and I usually always check the library first before buying. Great minds...... LOL

I own Modern Country and LOVE it! I take it out probably once a week just to swoon over the beautiful pages! Great idea about the library! My hubby usually takes my daughter (my mommy time alone), but I may have to start going with them! : )

I am always jumping from blog to library website to put a book on reserve. The book I am reading now "A Secret Gift" I found out about on a blog. I always jot down titles when I am a the bookstore too, so I can reserve them at the library. I just put the one that you put on hold...thanks!

It's so hard to pass up a wonderful decorating book when you see it. I'm like you, I cannot stand to wait for it to come in the mail.

The two you are showing look like good ones.

hi debbie! i own every book in that stack and the tip on going to the library to make sure you like them is fabulous. i have gotten burned a couple of times ordering a book and then not being thrilled when it arrived.

I confess I must be a book aholic, oh my I just can't resist. There's nothing better than curling up with a special book and some tea. Thanks for sharing. Florence
