Simple Decorating

I decided this year a tree was not happening.

I'll probably be sorry as I do enjoy sitting in the living room looking at the pretty tree with lights, its always so festive.

I did buy a couple of wreaths though and I am enjoying them.

Simple.

I went to Home Goods and purchased this primitive Santa, I think he's pretty sweet.

Next week Christmas shopping, nothing like waiting till the last week.

Hope you're enjoying the Christmas season.

Love the new Santa and your wreath looks great!
I myself had a really hard time putting up our trees.Just wasn't feeling the Love this year. Now after our Mall shooting and the school shooting it's hard to be in the spirit.

I too have waited to buy some items.I always think I am ahead and never am.~Blessings Kim

Im with you small tree branch, no wreath and late on gift shopping, hard to feel it with the things going on all around us. I am getting out in the morning and going to do creative shopping this year, perhaps something soothing and adding calm to ones life will be what will, inspire me in my buying.

Last year the family got to gether and decided we would pay it forward, map end as little money to no money on gifts but give up something in our home or stock pile in the theme of flea market chic. We drew names and we new justbwhatbwe were willing to give up, so fun to end up with something from someone else's home or cool junk pile. I got an old column how great is that.

Love your simplness over here, know that I have joined in on simple over at my place as well.

He IS a pretty adorable Santa Debbie! I love the burlap on your wreath too.

I didn't do a tree for a few years but would cut an aspen tree from our woods and put lights on it just so I could enjoy the lights. This year I did buy a little tree, but haven't brought it in yet.

I want to wish you a wonderful Christmas and hope you have a great time with your family.

Debbie, Last year we had a tabletop tree for the first time. A large tree is beautiful but so much work. Your vignette with the wreath is very pretty and I love the basket and demi-John. Happy Holidays.

Everyone seems to be feeling overwhelmed and stressed. At a time like that, less is best.
I love your simple wreath décor.
Good luck with the shopping!
