Spring Is In The Air!

Spring is in the air!

I think it actually made it to 77 degrees today.

The sun felt so good.

We've been having a lot of rain and feeling a bit soggy.

I didn't have much luck this week-end while out estate shopping so I don't have a lot to show you.

But here are a couple of sweet finds.

I thought these cards were pretty darn cute.

I really enjoy the sweet little girls on the front.

Here are some little itty-bitty house ornaments I picked up.

They will be fun around Christmas time.

My #1 and I spent a lot of time at Monticello sprucing up the booth.

We took down doors on the walls and put up muslin fabric.

We added a couple of pieces of new furniture also.

You may recognize a few of the pieces.

Lastly, I picked up this wonderful smelling "Pink Jasmine".

I decided to plant it in a large concrete planter on my porch.

What a wonderful smell awaits me when I walk towards the door.

A Few More Fun Finds!

I wanted to share with you a few more photos of some of the things I found this week-end.

Old locks, don't you just love the graphics on those? I was able to pick up a few this week-end.

I don't have the keys but I just loved the designs on each side, so it was a "must buy" thing.

Also, old keys, I mean who doesn't like old keys?

This small wood laboratory box has four little sections in it.

A cute little way to store bits and pieces of things.

Here are some sweet baby dresses.

I am a total sucker for these things.

I have quite of few of them hanging from old doorknobs in my entry way.

Lastly, I played around with some old BINGO cards (my favorite). I found old drawings in a 1940's knitting magazine and glued them to the front of the cards.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with them but I thought they'd make great garland for a baby shower...or maybe even a fun gift card!

So for right now I'll just look at the sweet little baby pictures.

I Think It's Puppy Love!

I wanted to share with you my nieces newest addition to her family.

Sunday evening my mother and a friend of hers went to the airport to pick up a special delivery .

Flying in from Alabama was this sweet English Bulldog puppy.

This little girl spent the night with my parents then early Monday morning traveled to Eugene to meet up with my niece.

This was a special birthday gift for her husband.

She had planned a surprise birthday party for him and this was his wonderful gift.

He has always wanted a bulldog and this birthday he got his wish.

What a fun surprise!

He loved her!

My son got to take the trip with his grandparents to deliver this sweet little girl to his cousin.

Aren't puppies fun!

Start Talking To Your Mountains!

I saw this quote on Theresa McFayden's blog and knew I wanted this up in my studio.

So, I got out some old magazines, books and different letters and tried my hand at creating my own little picture.

This is something I need to remember each and every day.

God is bigger then my problems!
