To Go or Not To Go!

The week-end was quickly approaching and I continued to go back and forth.

Should we go to The Farm Chicks or shouldn't we?

We had gone last year and had a great time and since it fell on our anniversary week-end it was like a mini vacation.

Well, I decided not to!

I missed getting to look at everyone's wonderful things and rubbing elbows with fellow bloggers and friends, but what I saved on money going down there, I spent here at home.

I can't wait to see all the fabulous pictures from everyone that went to The Farm Chicks!

I did sign up for a sale on Friday and hit a few others after that.

Yesterday, we went back to various sales picking up furniture we had bought the previous day.

I'll share more about that in another post.

That was quite an event!

But for now here are a few of the items I picked up.

My #1 spotted more paper ribbon, and you know how I love that!

I was so excited to find this old box of curtain clips.

It doesn't take much to get me excited!

The old clock in the first photo was a fun find.

I kept that for my living room.

It's old metal and white, what a great combination!

I also found a few old umbrellas and an old suitcase.

I spotted this sweet print Friday morning.

But it was in the hands of another buyer.

I went back Sunday and, "Wow, it was there! Half price too!"

Here is a wonderful old trunk.

I actually saw this Saturday at an estate sale.

I decided not to buy it.

My #1 always cringes when I look at old trunks.

And I saw him cringing when I spotted it!

But then Saturday night I justified buying it.

It would be great for storing blankets, right?

So Sunday, if it was still there, I would purchase it!

It was!!!

Half price too!

I'm actually using it as a coffee table in the living room.

It goes great with the couches!

I think hubby likes it too!

Wow, this post is getting pretty long so I'll end it with this last picture.

Here is an old farm table we picked up.

It was crammed in a corner in the basement.

I didn't realize it was missing the drawer until we were hauling it out the next day.

I guess it's just another project for my sweetie!

Thank you for stopping by!

Wow You found some great treasures. I did go to Farm Chicks and I will be posting soon on it. I went last year with my husband who was a great sport. This year I took my fellow farm girls friends and we had a blast.

Oh what great finds! I came over from Kim's blog Shabby, Pink and Pretty, it's nice to meet you!

That table made my jaw drop. Oooooo I would have my paintbrushes out in a flash and pink roses all over that beauty! It's the loveliest shade of shabby aqua. You are one lucky duck to have found that!

Anyhoo, nice to meet you - come on over for a visit!

Ohhhh....love that table! What a perfect color!!! I like the rug that is underneath it, too. Is that your carpet? How is your room turning out? No doubt it is FABULOUS!!!

Like you, I will be looking at what other FC participants did that weekend. Someday I am going to make the trip up there!
