Who Am I?

While out treasure hunting today, I couldn't pass up this sweet vintage doll.

I'm afraid I don't know much about dolls.

I buy them because I just like their look!

And she had all the sweet vintage appeal that I love.

She's a soft body doll with a voice box.

So, she will give a little cry when turned over.

Her legs show a lot of age but they're still holding together.

Her arms are in pretty good shape.

I don't see any makers marks.

I know they're a lot of ladies with a wealth of information on dolls.

Does anyone know anything about this doll?

She so wants to know her history!

Have a great week-end!

Hi Debbie- I think I know about your dolly! The back of her neck- does it say Horsman? I have some photos to send you of an old, sweet doll that was my mother's. I spiffed her up and sold her on ebay a few years ago. I think it's the same doll. I'm at work, but can email you tonight. She is so adorable!

Yes, she does look like a Horsman. Go to google & search HORSMAN & see all the info there.

I love dolls, but have sold all mine off.

TTFN ~ have a wonderful summer weekend ~

I know nothing about dolls, but she looks like one I had as a child. I was born in 1947, so it would have been in the early 50's.

She has the sweetest little face and I would love to have her too.
Can't you just imagine the little girl who played with her.

I hope you find out more about her history.

I am not a doll expert, but my mom had some cool dolls. Yours looks like it could be a Baby Effanbee. Hers made a "momma cry" or something like it, but I'm not sure about any kind mark. It might be worth checking out.

She's cute...I never really liked dolls until I was an adult.
