Is It Spring Yet?

Oh, I am so ready for Spring.

The weather around here has been so unusual.

Yesterday, we woke up to snow on the ground and today the sun is out and it's shining so bright.

My little flowers are peeking out of the ground, they're ready too!

This past week-end while I was at the Thrift Store I came across seven Enamelware trays. I have never seen Enamelware trays before. Maybe coffee pots, bowls etc... but not trays. I liked them, but I was still not to sure how much I liked them and if anyone else would feel the same so I left them sitting on the shelf.

Have you ever had an idea hit you in the middle of the night? I guess in the back of my mind I was trying to figure out what I could do with these trays. SPRING....FLOWERS....These would be perfect to display pretty potted flowers on for Spring!!! They would be practical too as they would catch the water. So....

I went back the next day and bought them!

They were pretty sweet!

Thank you for all the wonderful responses I have received so far on my 100th Post Giveaway! It's still not to late to leave a comment below!

I always love hearing from you!

Love the enamelware trays and glad you went back to get them (and that they were still there!). I have a bunch of them that I have picked up that I use. I just like their old fashioned look!

I have some small trays like those I bought at a yard sale in Chicago. Someone told me they were used in hospitals. I keep one under my kitchen sink for my dish liquid bottle, scrubbie, etc. I'm still unpacking from a move. When I find the second one I think I'll use it as a plant tray as you've done. Yours looks gorgeous! ♥

Love your enamel trays...and what a great way to use them. Can those hold a magnet? If they can they would look great hanging in a kitchen or office to post notes on...what'ya think?

I too, have seen many styles and colors of enamelware, but never a tray. I would have scooped it up too.
I was once again deceived by our NW sunshine today. I went out to chat with my neighbor. even with hot flashes to keep me warm I had to run back in the house to thaw.

Sweet Wishes,
Sara

HI Debbie! It was so sweet to meet at Monticello's this weekend! I wish we had had more time to get to know each other! Maybe next time!

I LOVE enamelware trays. The ones you have look like the old dental trays. I was a dental assistant for years and can remember seeing them in the offices of some of the older DDS's.

Great find and great use.

Ha ha, I just came across some enamel ware trays cleaning our attic - and ours were from my hubby's old photo equipment. He didn't see any value in them either - but I grabbed them and saved them, and love them too! I have some primroses sitting in mine right now (and the try looks better than the primroses unfortunately!) But good for you!
