A Few More Finds!

Welcome to White Wednesday!

I've been on the hunt for great treasures for the Fall Show at Monticello.

The show opens September 10th.

So if you are able to make it you'll be in for a real treat!

So many talented participants.

The first thing I thought I'd show you is this small celluloid book.

I found this a few weeks ago.

I love the small size, the color and the fact that it is so old, dated 1899.

The first couple of pages are pretty worn but that's good, its been used.

I also found quite a few vintage ladies shoes dating back to the 1800's.

Old Erle Stanley Gardner books for a chilly Fall evening.

Old photos!

Don't know any of the people, just love vintage photos.

Lastly, I want to thank Jo, of Secret Garden Cottage, for her sweet spirit.

She was so thoughtful and sent me an award.

What a sweetie!

Be sure to stop by Jo's blog, you will be inspired!

Thank you Kathleen of Faded Charm for faithfully hosting this fun event!

I always look at those old photos and wonder if they could be any of my relatives. So much fun. I have my grandfather's Bible that dates back to the late 1800's with family information in it. I am blessed to have it. Have a great week. Florence

Love all your treasures, Debbie! I love vintage books, too. I found a few when I went antiquing on my birthday. One was an old Little Bear book. I loved finding an old one, because my kids grew up reading the new books. I've seen so many pictures of the Monticello show all over Blogland. It looks like the most amazing place to go antiquing!! I wish so much I could go!
Have a wonderful night my friend!
Hugs ~ Jo :)

I have the same set of books! I bought them at a church fund raising event for $1.00 each I think. Loved looking at your loot too.

I can see you have been mining more treasures. How do ever let them go? I know I could be a star on hoarders, given the chance. I have such a hard time letting go of anything. And if I found as awesome of things as you do, I know I would be in big trouble.
I hope the show is stellar. I know it will be.
hugs to you from here
