My poor husband cringes whenever I come out of the kitchen, of an estate sale, holding a vintage piece of 1940's kitchenware!
Did that make it sound more appealing?
1940's
I picked up this vintage bread box at an auction. The color was wonderful and of course "metal".
Ok, let's talk storage!
I use these bread boxes to hold utensils that I don't use that often, yet still need occasionally.
I love this old stool, pink and black. I haven't seen another one like it, so I'm glad I kept it.
Little metal timers as well!
And of course they're sitting on a metal cart.
Here's another cart that holds my microwave as well as other metal tins.
Breadboxes came in all sizes, notice the rectangular bread box on the bottom shelf. This is the perfect size for one loaf of bread.
Oh, and who doesn't like an old cake tin, especially if there's cake in it!
Here's a few old garbage cans as well.
Here's a picture of a few of the metal chairs I have on my deck.
Lastly, another old breadbox that I use in my bathroom to hold towels!
Well, I better stop there as it's starting to look like an addiction to metal.
But don't you just like the look of old pieces!

I love all of your things! But especially the chairs, I remember when people couldn't wait to get rid of them for the newest thing.
Hmmmmm,
I don't see a problem at all! I especially love the old bread boxes, they can store so much more than bread, and they're pretty as well........
Have a lovely Easter!

metal, metal, metal...oh how I love thee!!! If it has rust and flowers, I am a HUGE fan!!!! Love your metal!
I love old kitchen tin pieces too. I use one old bread box to hold vitamins and medicines..sort of looks like a bathroom medicine chest inside! I have too many but I love them all so I always find a use for them other than what they were intended for. :)
Love all the metal boxes and chairs! Your booth at Monticello looks stunning , you did a beautiful job.
I love it. I too like the metal containers and always end up buying them when I see them. Thanks for sharing your collection. Florence
Your metals are so pretty - my favorite is the soft colors of the cart and outdoor chairs. I really like your idea about storing occasionally-used kitchen utensils!

love the metal too, L-O-V-E it. I always pick it up as well. My kitchen houses my collection of green jadeite colored metal and my studio is all the floral tins....I can never pass one by (if the price is right) Happy Thursday!
I love all your breadboxes. I have the breadbox that matches your cute little round apple canisters :o)
What a fabulous array of stuff you have! I love it ALL.
I agree Debbie, there is something special about these metal pieces. I'm drawn to them also. Happy Easter. Kathi
Deb I too love old metal specially gold and silver. :)
Love Mom
There is nothing finer than some serious rust. These treasures are right up my ally. Love those lawn chairs.
Hello Debbie~I've been on a blogging break a medical hiatus. So now...I'm catching up, by enjoying a stroll through the posts I've missed. Luckily I bookmarked you in my favs.
My hubby thinks it's even goofier that I'll take new metal tins and repurpose them to look vintage. The other day I was taking some music sheets I had printed off the computer and was staining them to appear old...the look on his face was...why would you take a perfectly, white, crisp, sheet of paper and pour coffee/tea over it and ruin it. I guess when it comes to vintage..."Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
Come by for a visit, the company would be nice.
Sweet wishes,
Sara

LOVE your collection! There's no such thing as too much old metal...at least that's what I tell my husband every time I come home with another "vintage" chair!!
